Three candidates for Fishwick by-election

Fishwick ParkA by-election is to be held in the Fishwick ward, Preston, to decide who will be the new councillor.

The by-election was called after the retirement of Councillor Harold Parker and there are approximately 3,800 potential voters in the ward.

Three candidates have put themselves forward and will be campaigning for Fishwick resident’s votes up to polling day on Thursday 1st October 2009.

The three candidates are:

  1. Luke Bosman (13 Gaythorne Avenue, Preston, Lancs, PR1 5SY) Liberal Democrats
  2. Jennifer Mein (23 Highfield Drive, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9SD) Labour
  3. Sharon Riley (48 Gaythorne Ave, Preston, PR1 5TA) Conservative

To be eligible to vote in this election you need to have registered by Wednesday 16th September. If you want someone else to vote on your behalf (vote by proxy) you need to have registered by Wednesday 23rd September.

    Just one small point: Skeffington Road isn’t in Fishwick, it’s in Saint Matthew’s.

    The Fishwick ward can roughly be described as that part of Preston south of the A59 (Brockholes Brow / New Hall Lane) and west of the A6 (London Road).
