I loved Preston Bus Station as a teenager growing up it was were we all met on a Saturday night to go "up town top ranking" why they have made so many changes to it is beyond belief, I know for a fact that there went into the bus station over 1million pounds in perspex for the signs over the individual bus stops, so why it was left to get into such a state is beyond me, we should have had pride in this biulding not let it run into the ground, and the thought of demolision just does not make sence surely it would be better to put money into restoration rather than re-location and a new build which will never ever match the architecture of once a magnificent development of its time.

Hello, I live in America, but used to live in Preston, and I love the bus station. It is the setting for many of my great memories.. I heard they are tearing it down.. Is this true? I really would hate to see it go, as I am very attatched to this town and its buildings in it, and I am hoping to be able to come back and visit someday if budget allows. Could you tell me more about whats happening with the bus station? Thanks,
Tyra

I went to see this exhibition the other day, some of these photos are amazing. Some ethereal, creepy, sterile images with nobody in the bus station. We really shouldn't knock it down, it's an amazing building that has so much history in this city
