Tree O’Clock at Ashton Park

Tree planting 300 trees will be planted in Ashton Park, Preston as part of a world record attempt.

On Saturday 5th December 2009 from 11 AM the Council are taking part in Tree O’Clock, a Guiness World Record Attempt to plant 600,000 in an hour.

You can either join in with the event on Ashton Park or plant a tree in your own garden.

The event is part of the BBC Breathing Spaces campaign.

Police puzzled after animal remains found in Ashton Park

Police are appealing for information after the remains of two deer and two pheasants were found in Preston over the weekend. Free Christmas tree recycling service on offer at Ashton Park

It’s time to start thinking about taking down the Christmas decorations and throwing out the tree. Preston City Council are offering a free service to recycle your Christmas tree.
