Tree O’Clock at Ashton Park

Tree planting 300 trees will be planted in Ashton Park, Preston as part of a world record attempt.

On Saturday 5th December 2009 from 11 AM the Council are taking part in Tree O’Clock, a Guiness World Record Attempt to plant 600,000 in an hour.

You can either join in with the event on Ashton Park or plant a tree in your own garden.

The event is part of the BBC Breathing Spaces campaign.

Free Christmas tree recycling service on offer at Ashton Park

Get involved in Preston’s nature this winter

Those who have green fingers can get involved in a host of activities in Preston’s parks this winter. Preston park rangers will be teaching volunteers how to coppice, plant trees and look after hedgerows.
