Heart to heart
It’s that time of year when fluffy teddies, helium hearts and red roses clamour for attention in shop windows. Yes folks in case you haven’t noticed Sunday is Valentine’s Day! here are our top tips for places to check out over the weekend….
The Mystery Tea House is brewing up a special Valentine’s blend, the very tempting Temple of Love tea combines pink amaranth and jasmine flower. For just £2.40 this hot brew should thaw even the frostiest of hearts. If your amour fancies something a little stronger, and is of legal age, slip along to Fives for a Pixies Wing.
This sweet and heady cocktail combines Skky Vodka, fraise liquer, strawberry cheesecake Hagen Daaz and strawberry bon bon stirred with ice, topped off with fresh strawberry pieces and merangue chunks. Ooooh it sounds like a dessert doesn’t it?!

Talking of food The Continental are celebrating the occasion with a delicious five course Valentine’s meal on Saturday 13th February, the menu offers culinary delights such as a roasted fillet of sea bass on a bed of noodles with a spicy mussel stew and wild mushroom & butter spinach filled tartlet case with a tarragon cream sauce. Grrrr it’s making me hungry. Booking is essential. Check the website for further details.
