This is the first in a new weekly feature for us, where we put the spotlight on our animal friends.
We’ll be featuring the pet of the week, and first up is Harvey – a rescued Staffordshire bull terrier who is now living the good life in Penwortham.
Here’s owner Katie Bleasdale-Pugh on her dog:
Harvey is a staffie cross which we adopted a year ago from Cheshire dogs home. He was 13 weeks old when we got him and a tiny bundle of nerves.
After a few days he soon came out of his shell and has now grown into a big, handsome, gentle boy.
Harvey loves his food, toys, walks but most of all he loves cuddles. He will happily sit on your knee and shower you with kisses. He can also hi-fives too. He also loves his chews and bones.
He isn’t so keen on water and doesn’t like loud motorbikes or road signs.
So many Staffordshire bull terriers get overlooked on rescues because they have an unjust and wrong reputation which labels them as aggressive. Nothing could be further from the truth. I would recommend a staff to anyone with children and who wants a lovable lump like mine!
So that’s Harvey, but now it’s your turn. If you’d like us to feature your pet then get in touch at contactus@blogpreston.co.uk – write us 200 words on your pet, and send us photos (and video) of your animal friend and we might feature them here.
