A photo exhibition showcasing modern-day Preston versus the city of yesteryear will take place later this month.

The pictures, put together by Lea resident Bernie Blackburn, will be shown at St George’s Shopping Centre from Saturday 26th May.

Speaking to Blog Preston in January about the project, Mr Blackburn said: “Putting the ‘Preston Now and Then’ collection together has been a real journey of discovery; I’m amazed how much Preston has changed in the last hundred years.

“The whole point of this project is to share it with the people of Preston during the Guild Year.”

Blog Preston is one of a number of companies and organisations who have sponsored the show to make it happen.

The exhibition will run at St George’s until the end of July and then be moved to Avenham Park Pavillion until the end of September.
