Concert at museum to help fund Preston community radio

A Preston radio station will takeover the Museum of Lancashire this month to help raise much needed cash.
Preston FM and the One Voice Community Choir present a summer evening concert, featuring gospel classics and acoustic soul/funk in the museum.
The station, run mainly by volunteers, lost much of its funding in March when parent arts organisation Prescap folded.
Funds from the concert will go towards helping to meet its running costs and keep it on air.
Stephen Miller, community outreach officer at the museum, said: “One Voice Community Choir and the Museum of Lancashire are always seeking to reach a wider audience and engage with communities in new and innovative ways, this is the perfect opportunity to do just that, alongside raising money for an important local community project.”
The show is mainly standing only, with some seating. The doors open at 6pm on Wednesday 20 June.
Tickets are £5 from the Museum or Preston FM.
