Preston band The Gentrymen have already entered with their track Days of Old

Unsigned Preston bands are being invited to enter a new competition to find the best new band in the North West.

One band will have the chance to make their own music video, record in a top studio and get a promotional photoshoot – worth thousands.

All bands have to upload a track via the Captive North website and then survive a public vote.

The top rated bands will go into a live final and be judged by a panel of industry experts.

Bands have until 11.59pm on Saturday 18 August to enter.
