An online collection of photos of Preston through the years has reached its target of 8,000 uploads.
AdvertisementThe Preston Digital Archive is housed on photo-sharing site Flickr and founder Barney Smith wanted to reach the 8,000 barrier before the Guild.

“What we are looking for are photos of commercial or industrial activity, lost streets and buildings, social activity and more.”
The Archive also accepts Real Photo picture post cards, plus old threatre programmes, invitations, magazine articles, adverts and newspaper cuttings.
