Aled Jones and the Human League will be headlining special concerts for a Preston hospice.

80s legends the Human League headline the Friday evening while crooner Aled Jones will be top of the bill for Saturday, with star of BBC’s Over The Rainbow Sophie Evans joining him.
Hospice bosses are hoping for better weather this year after last year’s shows were cancelled due to heavy rainfall.
Lorraine Charlesworth, Director of Income Generation at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “Symphony at the Tower is one of our biggest and most popular events which attracts a huge amount of supporters every year.
“We were forced to cancel the event last year as unprecedented high levels of rainfall had made ground conditions dangerous for an outdoor event on this large scale.
“It was very disappointing but I would like to say a big thank you to all those who donated their ticket money regardless and to businesses who still pledged their sponsorship to support the hospice.
“Now we’re delighted to be announcing the return of the Symphony in 2013 – which promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with household names taking to the stage for two fantastic nights of music.
“We hope the addition of the Friday night concert will open up the event to new audiences, and in turn raise even more money to fund the specialised care and support St Catherine’s provides.”
The Saturday night show will finish with a fireworks display and ticket-holders are welcome to bring along a picnic.
Damian Bunce from Walton-le-Dale missed out last year and donated the £125 to the hospice.
Mr Bunce said: “My family and I will certainly be attending the Saturday night event as we have done for many years in the past. A few of us might even look into buying a weekend ticket and coming along on the Friday too.
“It’s always a great event and more importantly raises much-needed funds to support the great work of St Catherine’s.
“I think it’s a great idea to bring in another show – trying new things and attracting new audiences to raise even more money for the charity, whilst giving guests a great night out. We just need to order some good weather now!”
Tickets are on sale at £25 for the Friday and £29.50 for the Saturday. They will be £32 on the night. They are available from the St Catherine’s website, call 0844 888 9991 or visit the Guild Hall on Lancaster Road.
