PrestFest In Pictures: Revellers, foodies and party goers come out for a celebration of Preston City Centre

From Saturday to Monday venues across the city flung open their doors and did their best to get the public in.

The city centre was celebrating retaining its Purple Flag status – for having an excellent night out – and a host of restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs joined forces to entertain.

Below are an assortment of pictures from the nights out, special events and much more that was on offer.

Mark Whittle from the Preston Business Improvement District who put £20,000 towards the weekend said: “Anecdotally our team have spoken to venues across the weekend and the majority commented that there was a significant lift in atmosphere, some new faces and a real atmosphere in the city centre.”

You can also have a read of Paul Swarbrick and Gill Lawson’s alternative PrestFest as they rediscovered Preston’s gory past and took in some steel drumming.
