A city nightclub is set to have its licence reviewed after being closed down for a week.
AdvertisementA Preston City Council licensing sub committee hearing has been called for Tuesday 25 June.
It lists a review for the licence of Browns cafe and Truth Nightclub on Glovers Court on the agenda.
The nightclub was shut for a week at the start of June following an alleged assault.
Browns first opened in 1996 and has grown to become of the most popular places for a night out in the city centre.
It was closed from Saturday 1 June until Thursday 6 June after Lancashire Police requested an emergency licensing hearing.
The club is back open again, as the photo below of revellers enjoying a Saturday night out show.
Police are now seeking a full review of the premises licence.
Councillors on the sub-committee could choose to strip the venue of its licence, vary its opening hours, add other conditions or choose to take no action.
No further information has been released at this stage.
