Fire crews called to blaze on Lune Street

Fire crews have been fighting a fire at a bedroom and home furnishings store on Lune Street.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed four fire engines were called out at 6.22pm on Saturday.

Four breathing apparatus, one jet and one hose reel have been used.

The fire is on the ground and first floor of the store.

Crews from Preston fire station said there was severe damage to the staircase, ground, first and second floor.

An external fire door has been destroyed by the fire and severe smoke damage to first and second floor. All stock has severe smoke damage.
