Yvonne Dillon, who runs the ladies clothing company, has applied for planning permission to convert 9 Lune Street into the studio.

Lancashire Police have raised concerns about the importance of the studio having lockers for storing valuables during classes.

Rachel Emmett, architectural liaison officer for Lancashire Constabulary, writes: “I would stress the importance of lockers for the storage of personal belongings to reduce the risk of theft while classes are being held.”
