Urban explorer David, known as scrappyNW on Flickr, has been down the drains of the city to work out to see what it’s like.

Some of the pictures show the tunnels leading under the city to Plungington Road.

The pictures are one of a series created by David of abandoned buildings and unusual places in Preston, including the former Whittingham Mental Hospital and St Joseph’s Orphanage.
