Fans of very small trains be excited. The Preston and District Model Railway Society is holding its annual exhibition in March 2014.
Growing more popular every year the event features examples of the best in railway modelling with exhibits drawn from far and wide.
There will be many trade stands, modelling demonstrations, stands by railway and transport preservation society’s and second hand stalls.
Some of the traders due to attend are A1 Models,British Railway Modelling,DC Kits, DG Collectables, Going Loco, Hoyle’s Models, Model Roads & Tramways, N Gauge Society, Rural Railways, Stevenson’s Carriageshelp and Transport Models.
Giving demonstration will be North Turton “0″ Gauge group, Les Green, John Holden and Brian Pickersgill. With exhibitions by Ribble Vehicle Preservation Society, West Lancashire Light Railway, Wigan Finescale Modellers, York Exhibition, Cumbrian Railways Association, Stephenson Loco Society, OPSTA (Ormskirk, Preston, Southport, Travellers Association) and
Poulton & Wyre Railway Society.
The Preston and District Model Railway Society held previous exhibitions in the Student Union and later in the Refectory of the UCLan. The Preston society is based an industrial unit at Aqueduct Mill on Aqueduct Street. New members, beginners to experts, are always welcome.
