Lancashire Police have released more information in their appeal for information after a 16 year old girl was approached by a male who exposed himself to her.
The incident took place just after 4pm on Tuesday 4th February as the girl was walking home in Cottam on Merrytrees Lane along the underpass under Tom Benson Way in Preston.
A man walking a dog pulled down his trousers and exposed himself to the girl as she was walking near to the Ancient Oak before laughing and walking away.
The description of the The man is white, aged in his late teens and slim build. He had brown shaggy hair and was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a t-shirt and blue and white trainers which had a white band around the bottom. His spoke with a local accent.
His dog was described as being a three legged Staffordshire bull terrier or Pitbull type and was a black and white speckled.
Sergeant Paul McLernon from Preston Police said: “This is a disturbing incident and it is important that we trace the man responsible.
“I would ask people to think carefully about the description of this man, together with that of his distinctive dog and if anyone has any information that could assist us with our investigation I’d urge them to contact Lancashire Police on 101.”
