One of Preston’s great traditions returns to Avenham Park on Easter Monday.

Taking place for more than 100 years the Easter Egg rolling is an annual event which sees Easter eggs hurled down the steep slopes of the Victorian park.

This year’s egg rolling event takes place on Monday 21 April and runs from 11am to 4pm. Follow our live updates from Avenham Park.

Last year’s chilly Easter event saw the parks turned into an “Easterland” with live bands, magical mystery trails for children to explore and more.

More than 10,000 people are expected to attend the event.
