Revellers were out in full force on Saturday night in Preston’s city centre to be astounded by such spectacles as a giant Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. There was also a life size dinosaur on the prowl and a giant Lego Man too. Together, these figures created quite a stir one way or another.
AdvertisementOne of the exciting attractions of the event was the Bank of BID cash machine ‘Great Give-away’. People were asked to enter a random PIN number into the machine, if they matched one of the numbers in the machine they won a massive fifty Preston pounds which could be spent at over twenty venues around Preston during the PrestFest event.
The success of the Preston by Night PrestFest event has gone from strength to strength since its first appearance a few years ago. With more and more colourful and amazing characters being brought to the streets of Preston, it has now become an institution and a fabulous attraction to the City.
From the obvious delight on the faces of the children and the looks of amazement from the City revellers, the many characters, animals and monsters appearing on the streets were a big thumbs up from all who were there.
It is really fabulous to see something bringing the City so alive and cant’ help feeling intrigued as to what great ideas will be in the pipeline for the next PrestFest event.
