Work will start on Monday 4 August 2014 to refurbish the squash courts at Fulwood Leisure Centre in Preston.

Maintenance and improvement works need to be undertaken to bring  the courts up to a highly playable standard.

The work will involve repairing the floor, fitting new walls, painting sides and rear walls and maintenance of the out of court area.

Expected to last at least 7 days, the courts should re-openon Monday 18 August 2014.

The work comes in line with the next phase after the completion of the new exercise studio, downstairs gym and the new activities room.

The improvement work may effect other activities at the centre including:

Gyminies – Wednesday 6  and 13 August, Thursday 7 and 14 August and Friday 8 and 15 August 2014 will be cancelled

Summer junior classes held in the activities room will be cancelled during this time.

Fulwood Leisure Centre will have a special re-opening offer.

From Monday 18 August to 1 September 2014, they will offer a 50% discount on court hire. Fees will be only £3.50 instead of £7.00 during the first 2 weeks of reopening.
