One of the leading skate park construction firms in the UK has been selected to build the Moor Park skate park.
AdvertisementPreston City Council is due to award Freestyle a £320.000 contract to create “establish Preston as a regional centre of excellence for skateboarding”.
The skate park is part of a wider £2.3 million restoration and upgrade of Moor Park which is grade II listed.
Heritage Lottery Fund cash is being ploughed into the park which is the largest in the city.

Freestyle, based in Brighton, have constructed skate parks in more than 30 places across the UK – including Manchester.
Preston Skatepark Project has been working with the city council on the proposals and have been lobbying for a skating facility in Preston for more than 12 years.
