A new bar is to open at Preston North End’s Deepdale ground and named after PNE legend Sir Tom Finney.
AdvertisementThe Villa at North End Ltd have applied for a licence for Finney’s in what was part of the National Football Museum.
The licence would cover serving alcohol from 9am to midnight every night of the week, and also serving food and holding live music events until midnight.
Richard Simkin, head of operations at The Villa at North End, said: “It will be a healthy safe serving quality affordable snacks.
“On match days it will be a family supporters bar for Preston North End fans to enjoy a pre-match snack with a beer.”
North End’s hospitality is owned by the Villa group, which is operated by Simon Rigby who recently bought the Guild Hall.
Anyone wishing to comment on the Finney’s bar proposal must do so by emailing licensing@preston.gov.uk by Tuesday 23 December.
