Pensioner taken to hospital after Goosnargh smash

A pensioner was left in hospital with a fractured sternum after a crash in Goosnargh.

Lancashire Police are appealing for information after a car collided with a van on Tuesday.

Around 6.30pm a red Peugeot 206 was heading along Goosnargh Lane in the direction of Church Lane when it collided with a parked white Mercedes Sprinter van.

The driver of the Peaugeot, a woman in her eighties, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

Sergeant Malcolm Bell from the South Roads Policing Unit said: “If anyone has witnessed this incident I would urge them to please get in touch with us.”
