A Miss Preston 2015 finalist is hoping to walk 18 miles on Saturday March 22 to raise money for charity.
AdvertisementDominique Harrison-Bentzen, has already been in the spotlight for charity fundraising, after a homeless man, Robbie, offered to pay for her taxi home on a night out in the city. As a result she spent a night on the streets herself, and donated ÂŁ40,000 to the Foxton Centre.
This time, Dominique is looking to raise money for Variety, a national children’s charity who build self- esteem in disadvantaged children, and aim to give them a fuller childhood.
Along with family and friends, Dominique is encouraging people to donate as she aims to walk from Preston Guild Hall, to Blackpool Tower – a total of 18 miles.
She hopes “to raise as much money and awareness” as she can in completing the walk.
Anyone is invited to join in the walk, and all participants will be wearing the colour red in honour of the charity. Over £300 has been raised already, and if you’d like to sign up or donate, visit the Facebook page or click here.
