Egg-rolling will come to Preston as one of the areas most recognisable traditions.
AdvertisementEvery Easter Monday, Prestonians queue at Avenham Park to take part in the celebration.
This year, the day falls on Monday, April 6.
Egg-rolling was traditionally undertaken with decorated boiled eggs but has since evolved to include the chocolate alternative.
The eggs are sent rolling down the hills by those who attend.
Huge crowds can be expected so it is recommended that you get yourself to Avenham Park extra early to beat them.
There will be plenty of entertainment for those who wish to make more of a day of Easter Monday.
Live music, mad scientists and a giant Victorian robot will all be present to help the city celebrate the holiday in its own quirky style.
The event will begin at 11am and continue until 4pm.
