An elderly man from Ingol has died following a collision.

A 74-year-old man, from Preston, was involved in the crash at the junction of Granton Walk and Tag Lane on 12.45pm on Tuesday 12 May.

He was treated for minor injuries at the time but Lancashire Police say his condition later deteriorated and he was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he died on Monday 18 May.

PS 2255 Tracey Ward of the Road Policing Unit said: “This is a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life and my thoughts remain with his family and friends. We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the local area at the time of the collision and may have seen what happened to contact us.”

Anyone with information can contact the Road Policing Unit on 101 quoting log 623 of 22nd May.
