Armed Forces Day sees another spectacular show planned for a day to pay tribute to those serving our country.
AdvertisementThe Flag Market in Preston is to be transformed with a host of events taking place with live music, wrestling and the annual service of remembrance on Saturday 11 July.
At 10am the King’s Royal Hussars march into the city centre for their homecoming parade.
10.45am sees the service of remembrance with a performance from Louisa Stirland.
At 12noon there’s live music from Daniella Gallagher, Andrew Sisters Tribute Band, The Queen’s Lancashire Regiment, Street Monkeys and the Army Cadet Force Corps of Drums.
At the same time Birley Street sees the Preston’s Strongest Man competition.
Preston City Wrestling return to put on their wrestling spectacular from 2.30pm in the Flag Market with Team 3D, Mr Anderson, Velvet Sky, Spud and more on the line up.
Last year’s event saw thousands of people line the city centre to show their appreciation for the armed forces.
