More than 15,000 people line the streets of the city each year for the Carnival, which takes place on Sunday 21 June, and this is a taster of the costumes to come.

The king and queen for the Carnival will be crowned from 12.30pm on Saturday as each band involved in the event put forward one man and one woman to showcase their costumes.
