More than 2,000 women got deep down and dirty in Moor Park to raise money for charity on Saturday.
Race for Life’s Pretty Muddy event saw them take on an obstacle course and get covered from head to toe in mud.
Cancer Research organises the event alongside the Race for Life series of runs.
Rhian Coathup, event manager for Race for Life in the North West said: “The atmosphere is amazing. There is an incredible power and strength that comes from thousands of women joining together – having fun and getting covered in mud – to confront cancer.”
The women-only event sees them tackle a number of obstacles and mud pits during the 5k course.

Billy Matthews was there, with a special mud protector on his lens, to capture the action.
