An information event is to be held offering advice and guidance for anyone wishing to adopt.
AdvertisementAnyone thinking about adopting is invited to attend County Hall on Fishergate Hill on Wednesday September 9 between 6pm and 7.30pm as more adopters are needed in Lancashire.
Members of Lancashire County Council’s adoption team will conduct a short presentation before answering questions and talking through the adoption process. Social workers will also be on hand to talk to.
County Councillor Matthew Tomlinson urges people who fit the following requirements to attend, “We need people from all backgrounds to offer a permanent home and family to children who are not able to live with their birth family.
“You must be over 21, and live in Lancashire or close by, but whatever your race, gender, sexuality, living arrangements, age or employment status we want to hear from you.”
