Moor Park Skate Park already proving popular ahead of official opening

The latest addition to Moor Park is already providing entertainment for the locals, despite not expecting to officially open for another two weeks.

Work on the new Moor Park Skate Park was given the green light late last year and the full designs that were released soon after, were estimated to cost around £320,000.

Although not officially due to be declared open until September 13, it is already in use as Preston locals make use of the new equipment before the new school term begins.

A council spokeswoman said: “The park officially opens on September 13. But it is ready to use now the main work is complete. We recommend all the usual safety precautions are heeded.”
