A staple of a night out in Preston has closed its doors.
AdvertisementYekta’s kebab house in Church Street was a favourite late night spot for clubbers out in the city centre.
It is understood to have closed its doors for a final time after changing ownership in recent years.
A shop worker at Church Street News, situated next door, said he had noticed about two weeks ago that the shop was up for sale, having seen a sign in the shop window.
He said it has been closed now for around six weeks, but was unsure why.
Vini Hurst said: “Yekta’s closed down. The best kebabs, pizza or burgers. The Real McCoys burger! Been in Preston for years. Sad times.”
Sharon Rhodes said: “No way. Decent kebabs, been getting them for years!”
Blog Preston has attempted to reach the owners of Yekta’s but as yet has had no response.
