Three hundred years ago, in 1715, the last battle in England was fought in Preston, Lancashire between English government forces and the Jacobite rebels. Over the next few weeks and leading up to the anniversary of the major battle on 12 November 1715, there will be many events happening in Preston to commemorate the start of the uprising and the eventual battle.
