A Preston pub on the banks of the River Ribble could soon be reopening.
AdvertisementThe Shawes Arms in London Road has been closed for a number of years.
Nadeem Sadiq has bought the pub and is now looking for someone to run it.
Mr Sadiq said: “I was attracted to the building because of the idyllic setting and I am planning to undertake a refurbishment and re-design the building to take advantage of the River setting.
“I am looking for a tenant to operate the business and envisage the property being run as a café/bar/restaurant but I am quite open to suggestions.”
The pub was sold by property specialists Fleurets who had it listed for £295,000.
Lesley Watmough from the firm said: “This is a detached property in an idyllic setting overlooking the River Ribble and adjacent to Fishwick Nature Reserve.”
Anyone interested in running the pub is asked to contact Nadeem on nadeemsadiq@live.co.uk
