Ribble Steam Railway to expand Docklands engine sheds

A docklands railway in Preston is set to expand allowing it to preserve more of the area’s railway heritage. The Ribble Steam Railway which runs around Riversway has asked for permission to expand its existing engine shed. Over 1,500 people took to the city streets today for the annual Run Preston event. The 10k and 5k races saw many people in fancy dress raising money for charity.
