The annual firework display held on Pear Tree Park, Middleforth Green in Penwortham, Preston took place tonight on 5th November. Opened by Mayor of Penwortham, Councillor Melvyn Gardner the event was, as every year totally free but donations to the Mayors charities were (and still are) very welcome. Preston Christmas Lights Switch-on: Russell Watson and Matt Cardle to headline city show

The line-up for Preston’s Christmas Lights Switch-On can now be revealed. Preston Guild 2012: The Marathon

A new event for Preston, the first ever marathon to be held in the city. Not only that, there was a half marathon and a kids mini-marathon. Altogether over 4000 runners competed in the races.
