Banging Firework Display at Penwortham, Preston
The annual firework display held on Pear Tree Park, Middleforth Green in Penwortham, Preston took place tonight on 5th November. Opened by Mayor of Penwortham, Councillor Melvyn Gardner the event was, as every year totally free but donations to the Mayors charities were (and still are) very welcome. Preston Christmas Lights Switch-on: Russell Watson and Matt Cardle to headline city show
The line-up for Preston’s Christmas Lights Switch-On can now be revealed. Platinum-selling classical artist Russell Watson and X Factor 2010 winner Matt Carde will headline the show on the Flag Market. Something spooky was going down on Avenham and Miller Parks this wet and wild Sunday afternoon. The Hewitson Diaries: A Monologue
The centenary of the death of noted Preston journalist Anthony Hewitson (1836-1912) was commemorated on the night of 26th October 2012 in Preston at the UCLAN Media Factory by way of a monologue. Preston Guild 2012: The Marathon
A new event for Preston, the first ever marathon to be held in the city. Not only that, there was a half marathon and a kids mini-marathon. Altogether over 4000 runners competed in the races.
