Review: Complete Stone Roses @ 53 Degrees

In the confines of 53 Degree’s club venue, 400 people were crammed in to witness The Complete Stone Roses. In tribute to Squire, Brown and co the band have been touring constantly for years and earning themselves a great reputation but as one witty crowd member shouted “What you gonna do when they reform?”.

Krystal Gault is enjoying a half of lager ahead of the screening of her first music video at the New Continental on the August Bank Holiday. She takes a drag of a cigarette and greets me, she’s a little nervous ahead of the screening. “This is our first music video”, she says, “I really hope people turn up!”

Review: Ignition UK @ Bitter Suite

It was Saturday night and the atmosphere was more Phoenix Nights than a typical rock venue, but having played at The Bitter Suite once before, Ignition/UK must have had a fair idea of the type of audience awaiting them. However, as soon as the band launched into Sonic Burn, word got around and the place slowly started filling up with a livelier, younger crowd.
