With the Tithebarn regeneration project looking likely to go ahead, Preston’s historic Bus Station could soon be a thing of the past. There have been mixed views, and many debates about whether the building should remain; whether it is a work of art, or an eyesore. Jonathan Kenyon, who studies at Preston College focussed an entire project on the building, and produced some beautiful results.

Moor Park is set to be given an adidas makeover, with the installation of Preston’s second adiZone outdoor gym. The plans were put to Preston City Council’s planning committee last Monday, and were approved, providing English Heritage had no objections.

Corporation Street Camper Van Fire

Camper van fire in Preston City Centre

Emergency services were called this afternoon to tackle a camper van on fire on Corporation Street. Police officers closed roads around the scene causing some localised traffic problems. Lancashire Police did say the vehicle on fire was a yellow Volkswagen camper van.
