The Birds on the Ribble Estuary

Camper van fire in Preston City Centre
27th, October 2010 by Danny LeeEmergency services were called this afternoon to tackle a camper van on fire on Corporation Street. Police officers closed roads around the scene causing some localised traffic problems. Lancashire Police did say the vehicle on fire was a yellow Volkswagen camper van.

Huge job losses expected in Lancashire Police
22nd, October 2010 by Andy HallsALL community support officers have been told that their jobs could disappear as soon as March 2011. Lancashire Police currently employs 409 Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), and every one of them have been told they could find themselves jobless.

Student lock in sweeps the students of Preston
9th, October 2010 by Hannah CollinsOh my god! It’s that time of year again, Student Lock Ins are back and better than ever with more exclusive discounts and freebies than ever before. There was no mistaking the first student lock in event of the year, as a swarming buzz of excitement and chatter came from the bright neon lights of Topshop, livening up the quiet streets of Preston, after hours.
