Hundreds gather on Preston park for Guild 5k
Yesterday morning, hundreds of people took part in the Preston Guild 5k race, the first in a series of Guild races that will take place in the city throughout the year. In total, 741 runners completed the race on Avenham Park, with amateurs and enthusiasts rubbing shoulders with seasoned athletes around the challenging course. Free running event Park Run confirmed for Avenham Park opener
A popular free running event will be coming to Preston next weekend. Park Run, an international running group, organises free to run events has been given the go ahead by Preston City Council. City cyclists urged to get on their bikes for Preston Sky Ride
Over 5,000 people could be saddling up to take part in Preston’s biggest free cycling event. The Preston Sky Ride will take place in June and offers the chance for thousands to enjoy traffic-free cycling around the city. Parking bottleneck to ease with extra spaces at Fulwood Leisure Centre
Dangerous parking at a popular Preston leisure centre has forced the council to apply to expand the car park.
