Preston girl-band hope for chart hit

Preston based girl band P5 are hoping to top the charts next month with the release of their debut single. The five who met on Preston College’s dance course, originally won auditions to be chosen for P5 from all of the students at the College’s music and performing arts campus at Moor Park.

A map of the UK, people employed in the public sector

I’ve made a map using data from the Guardian Datastore, which looks at the percentage of each local authority that’s employed by the public sector. Preston features pretty high, coming in at 35%. You can scroll through all the other local authorities by hovering over the map with your mouse.
