Free Christmas tree recycling service on offer at Ashton Park

Preston parks get six Green Flags

Ruffs Dog Show (Photos)

The day included included micro chipping and dog welfare advice, and some great doggy competitions and prizes, and Rebecca Ward took some photos for us on the day.

Preston’s parks celebrating National Tree Week

Mike Ashmore and Steve Smith had originally planned to hold a community tree planting event. Moor Park to get gym upgrade
9th, November 2010 by Andy HallsMoor Park is set to be given an adidas makeover, with the installation of Preston’s second adiZone outdoor gym. The plans were put to Preston City Council’s planning committee last Monday, and were approved, providing English Heritage had no objections.

Lasting Olympics legacy for local community

Red Arrows Flying Visit

But it wasn’t their famous flying display up in the air, as several pilots from their display team made a swift visit on Vespa scooters as they travelled from Lands End to John O’Groats on day 2 of their four day charity ride.

In those days my park visits were all about having a stroll and switching off, or else were about getting some picturesque running miles in, and avoiding pounding the tarmac.
