Two arrested as cannabis plants worth over £30,000 found at Fulwood home

Officers found the plants at a house on Religh Road on Tuesday afternoon and uncovered 40 mature cannabis plants. Police arrested a 30-year-old man from Fulwood on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and a 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of money laundering. Police launch crackdown on city’s scrap metal thieves

Police puzzled after animal remains found in Ashton Park

City centre club bids for late night booze licence

Fishers Bar on Fishergate, which used to be known as Wall Street, wants to be open until 3.30am all week and be able to serve alcohol until 3am.
