Preston railway prepares to welcome Britain’s oldest working locomotive

Ribble Steam Railways will be taking delivery of the Furness Railway Number 20 on February 9th before it makes its debut at a special event. The Steam Gala Weekend on 18th and 19th February will give train enthusiasts a chance to ride the FR20 which was built in 1863. [...]

Ribble Steam Railway to expand Docklands engine sheds

The Ribble Steam Railway which runs around Riversway has asked for permission to expand its existing engine shed.
