Preston’s council elections are just around the corner on 5 May, alongside the Alternative Vote referendum; a referendum on deciding whether Britain adopts a new voting system.

19 of Preston’s wards are up for re-election with only Fishwick, St. George’s and Cadley having no election this time round. I’ve put together a map that shows all the ward boundaries. Clicking on the ward where you live allows you to see see who’s standing in your area.

Wards are colour-coded depending on the current controlling party, this will be updated after the election. Pink wards indicate an independent party.

I’ve also added links below to a full list of candidates standing (including home addresses) as well as embedding a list of polling stations. Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see added to the map that’d make a great resource for the election.
