The Easter BBC production The Preston Passion won an award at the Royal Television Society North West Awards 2012.
Last night The Preston Passion, hosted by Fern Britton, won an award at the Royal Television Society North West Awards 2012 which took place at the Hilton in Manchester.
The Preston Passion, which was a live event screened on BBC1, used the iconic Preston Bus Station as the dramatic backdrop to the Easter story.
The show was a nominee in the Best Live Event Category. Other contenders on the night were:
Granada Reports Special: Manchester City Homecoming – ITV Granada, EURO 2012: Match Of The Day – BBC Sport, and North West Tonight: Torch Special – BBC North West
The event was presented by Eamonn Holmes.
The Royal Television Society is the leading forum for discussion and debate on all aspects of the television community. The RTS Northwest Awards are the biggest and most respected TV and media awards outside of London.
