On 26 February the Preston Social presents an opportunity to discuss the proposed demolition of Preston Bus Station and Car Park.
The devastating news that the Bus Station would be bulldozed to save a few quid was announced recently. This alarming information galvanized long term-campaigners and people who previously hadn’t shown support for or against the place and acted as a catalyst for digital reaction.
The Bus Station conversation is one that has been going on for sometime in digital forums and spaces. The Preston Social meeting aims to “align these coversations by having a discussion/debate/tweet-up with a panel of key figures and commentators in the Preston bus Station demolition to share views, answer questions and to amplify the passionate voice of Preston.”
Details of speakers to be follow when we have them. There will be an opportunity after the discussion to network, drink, make friends, tweet and update.
The Preston Social discussion group, which is open to all, has a mix of academics, business owners, students, Tweeters. Getting Preston’s digital community together to learn, share, meet and tweet.
Free to attend the Preston Social is organised by 3ManFactory, supported by They Eat Culture.
