Several new lines of enquiry as Preston Police hunt man after Ribbleton teen sex assault

Police in Preston are continuing their appeal for information following a sexual assault on a teenager.

The incident took place on Monday 30 September when the 14-year-old girl was walking home in Ribbleton.

She was followed along Ribbleton Avenue by a man at around 8.10pm.

He tried to engage her in conversation, before pulling her down steps opposite the old health centre.

Detective Inspector Warren Atkinson said the response from members of the public had given them lines of enquiry.

He said: “We are pleased at the response from the public and are investigating several new lines of enquiry.”

The man is dscribed as between 25 to 30-years-old, tall and of muscular build.

He has a tanned complexion, light brown hair combed over to the side and blue eyes. He was wearing a brown jacket, blue knee length shorts and a bluze and white horizontal striper top.
