Anglers using Barley Pit in the Savick area will be pleased to hear that work has been ordered for all the pegs/platforms to be improved using recycled plastic, and covered in chicken wire to make it safe. Work will also be done on clearing out the reeds and all should be completed by the end of the year.

The pit has been really well used by large numbers of anglers and families across the summer and the work will enable safe use of the platforms. The removal of weeds will assist the fish in their future spawning.
