Firefighters in Preston are tackling a blaze at a takeaway in New Hall Lane.

The fire in the ground floor of the Hungry Eyes establishment started at 3.44pm.

A crew from Preston fire station were called and are currently using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a lighting unit to put out the fire.

It is the second blaze at a takeaway on New Hall Lane within a month after Charcoal Huts went up in flames on Saturday 11 January.

No damage report has been released by Lancashire Fire and Rescue service.
